Last year as the pandemic started I decided to search for some free Bootcamps and start learning how to code on my own. But that didn't go well at first.

I've been working as a photographer and videographer for the past 8 years of my life. I've worked with multiple teams and brands creating websites and mobile applications with all the content and design that I provided to them. From here, is when started my passion for learning how to code. Seen all these friends web developers creating cool applications and webpages for companies with specific functionalities, make me thing about: “I should learn how to code and create things, knowing how to implement the photography and the graphic part to it”.

At first, I stared checking some posts on the internet, followed by some videos on Youtube, and after all this research I've found a free website called Freecodecamp. I stared my path as “Web Development” student from here, I've learned the basics of HTML and some CSS. At the beginnig, I really liked the idea of how everything works and understanding how can I create a web page with lines of code, but when it was time to move on to Javascript I had numerous questions about the commands and syntax, I tough that I may need something else to fully understand and learned the correct way.

I started to search some part-time coding bootcamps on multiple web pages. I asked a friend “Web Developer” from New York for some references and he talked to me about “Flatiron School”. I really liked the idea to move forward on this new carreer, I signed up to “Flatiron School” to become a Software Engineer, I'm really happy with my choice and here I am finishing my first project built with HTML, CSS and Javascript.
